Paul Don, CPA, CGA
Paul obtained his undergraduate degree from York University and earned his accounting designation in 2013. Before taking over the practice in 2016 Paul worked for a mid-sized accounting firm in Toronto for 11 years. While there, working in the private enterprise group, he learned the needs of business owners running small-to-medium-sized companies.
Paul recognizes that every client situation is different, and has built a reputation on giving close, personal attention to each individual case. He understands the importance of listening well, in order to learn as much as he can about his client’s business objectives and concerns. He then provides information and advice in a clear and concise manner; and executes their tax strategies accordingly.
Paul is a member of the Whitby Chamber of Commerce and BNI Business Edge, a Toronto business networking group. He was born and raised in Durham and gives back through donations to local charities. In a past life he was an avid Rugby player and is still a member of a local club.

Ann McDonald, Account Assistant

Ann has been a main support for our business since 2006. She specializes in processing T4’s, ROE’s and WSIB; and HST on-line filing. Ann brings to the job 38 years of payroll experience, both manual and computerized. Her previous experience includes bookkeeping and client training at Sage Canada since 1996.
In her spare time, Ann likes travelling, kayaking, floral arranging and gardening.

Diane Tyo, Administrative Specialist

Diane’s in an energetic, motivated administrator who is highly organized and skilled at balancing the needs of clients in both a personal and professional capacity. She can meet tight deadlines using flexibility and organizational skills, along with putting problem-solving and computer skills to work to enhance the customer experience. She has strong interpersonal and communicational skills, with the experience of being a self-starter and team worker.
Diane’s skills have been a huge asset to us for the last 12 months. We rely on this ‘multitasker extraordinaire’ to get the job done on time, on budget and to the delight of our clients. Prior to joining Paul Don Professional Corporation, Diane worked in the Administrations field for over 20 years for companies such as Telus, Nike, Canada Building Materials, to name a few. She was also a Municipal Legal Secretary for six years.
In her spare time, Diane likes to spend quality time with her family and friends. She likes camping, travelling, sports and socializing.
Diane brings her work ethic to the job every day and when we asked her to give us a quote her response was: “When working on a project, I don’t want to just meet deadlines, I want to complete them ahead of schedule.”
Jahid Hossain, Accountant
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing
Jahid joined us in 2017, to support the maintaining books of accounts for different clients, preparation of year end, Corporate Income Tax, Personal Income Tax, Payroll and filing other reports to the CRA for various clients.
Jahid previously worked for several multinational organizations in various capacities. He worked for Chevron Corporation for 16 years in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Payroll. He also led various project implementations there relating to ERP systems. Over the last four years he worked for public accounting firms, developing Bookkeeping, Accounting, Tax and preparing Financial Reports.
Outside of work, Jahid likes playing table tennis, watching movies and travelling.

Kari Mountjoy, Accounting Technician

We’ve been fortunate to have Kari working with us since 1996. Her responsibilities include everything from bookkeeping and payroll to personal and corporate taxes. Kari has previously worked in a Charted Accountant’s office for 5 years.
In her spare time, Kari likes to spend time hiking, kayaking, and reading.
